Victor Dartnall is looking at giving Ambion Wood his first run over fences at Exeter next month.
The six-year-old had a successful time novice hurdling last term, ending with good wins at Sandown and Perth, and will now try his hand at the bigger obstacles.
"He will probably be running in two to three weeks' time. We had something go through the yard which has delayed one or two, but he'll be out by the end of November or the first week of December. There's a two-mile-three-furlong novice chase at Exeter he might go for," said Dartnall.
The Devon trainer also had encouraging news of Roudoudou Ville, who has been on the sidelines since finishing a close third to Quantitativeeasing in the Spinal Research The Atlantic 4 Gold Cup at Cheltenham in December.
"He'll be running in the spring. He had a tendon injury, but he's on the way back," said Dartnall.
