Court In Motion

Emma Lavelle is in no rush to decide on the next target for Court In Motion after his pleasing return to action in the Rising Stars Novices' Chase at Wincanton last Saturday.

Having missed the whole of last season, Lavelle set him a stiff task by sending him for the Grade Two event, but he was only beaten four lengths into third.

Court In Motion finished third to Bobs Worth in the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle in 2011, but Lavelle would not be afraid to run him over two and a half miles again if the right race arose.

"I was thrilled with him, but I just wish he hadn't tried to take the last ditch with him," said Lavelle.

"Everything finished very tired at Wincanton and considering it was his first run back, I was delighted.

"He's come out of the race well, he's just been jogging at home and he might have a hack canter on Saturday.

"The next week will give us an idea of when he might run again. If he's fresh and well it might be in the next three weeks, but if the race has left a bit of a mark we might wait a bit longer.

"I'm very happy with him, but he'll tells us when he's ready to run.

"We can't make a definitive decision over his best trip on the back of that run as Wincanton is such a sharp track. If the right race comes up over two and a half miles he'd run there, but the same applies to three miles."
