Royal Ascot winner Dandy Boy is the star name on show at Lingfield as David Marnane's ace lines up in the Blue Square Bet Golden Rose Stakes.
The best horse in the six-furlong Listed contest on official ratings, he has been done no favours by the draw and finds himself in stall 10 of 12.
"He's in great form at home and the draw is out of our hands, there's nothing we can do about that," said Marnane, whose charge finished fourth behind Society Rock in the Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock when last seen.
"He's a hold-up horse anyway so I'm not sure an inside draw is good for him as your hand is forced then. At least we can decide.
"There seems to be plenty of pace in the race, which will help, and I just hope the track isn't riding too slow.
"The reason we're coming over is that there's a question mark over his invite for Hong Kong and if we do get invited he needs this as a prep race.
"If we don't get to Hong Kong he'll be put away and then be aimed at some nice races in Dubai again.
"Sometimes the best horses don't always win, but he's as good as we could have him."
