Focus sees off LegendHeadlines
Back In Focus proved too strong at Punchestown

Back in Focus (2-5) completed a quick double for Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh with a clear-cut success in Punchestown's Florida Pearl Novice Chase.

The Graham Wylie-owned seven-year-old followed up his debut win over fences at Listowel with another pleasing performance in this Grade Two contest.

Farrells Fancy made the running until three fences from home, where he was quickly swamped by his three rivals. Lyreen Legend tried to make a race of it but Back in Focus was too strong and pulled away on the run to the line.

"He's a tough horse and loves that ground. He wants every yard of that trip and we'll go the long distance route with him," said Mullins.

"The three-mile Grade One novice chase at Leopardstown's Christmas meeting is probably the race for him."

Walsh said: "He's a tough horse, he keeps galloping and stays forever.

"I thought Lyreen Legend was the one we had to beat and I had a look to see where he was.

"He's relentless and keeps galloping away."

Paddy Power left the winner unchanged at 14-1 for the RSA Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.
