Saturday's Bangor card abandonedHeadlines
Bangor

Saturday's meeting at Bangor has been abandoned due to flooding.

Officials at the Welsh circuit made the decision following a course inspection on Thursday morning.

The situation was compounded by the nearby River Dee having burst its banks on Wednesday night.

Bangor clerk of the course Andrew Morris said: "We have seen a large amount of improvement, but we haven't seen as much improvement as we needed.

"The course is still severely flooded.

"Having seen how quickly the water levels have dropped in the last 24 hours, there was no prospect of racing at the weekend.

"We will now turn our attentions to the next meeting here on December 14."
