Tom Scudamore will replace Timmy Murphy aboard The Package in this afternoon's Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury.
Murphy could be sidelined for up to six weeks after damaging two vertebrae in a fall at the Berkshire venue on Friday.
He was due ride The Package for David Pipe in the feature race of the day but the trainer has confirmed Scudamore will now take the ride.
He tweeted: "Following Timmy Murphy's injury, Tom Scudamore goes to @RacesNewbury to ride my three runners - Star Of Angels, The Package and Consigliere."
