Pride takes Drinmore testHeadlines
Pride Of The Artic steps up in class at Fairyhouse

Pride Of The Artic steps up in class for the Bar One Racing Drinmore Novice Chase after winning his last four races over fences.

The seven-year-old was most recently seen beating Jacksonslady in a Grade Three at Tipperary in October in heavy ground, and now tackles Grade One company for the first time at Fairyhouse on Sunday.

"He's in brilliant form, it's a very competitive race, but we're just hoping he's still improving and puts up a good show," said County Kildare permit holder Peter Fahey.

"From every run he's improved and his races have worked out well, so we're confident he should run a nice race."

Noel Meade saddles the promising Texas Jack, winner of his sole start over fences, at Naas last month.

Meade said: "He had a real ding-dong battle when winning at Naas, it was a good beginners' chase so we were really pleased, particularly with his jumping.

"He worked well recently so we are very happy with him."
