Racing at Lingfield

True To Form came with a late rattle under David Probert to land Listed honours in the Quebec Stakes at Lingfield.

Be Perfect set the pace and kicked clear of fellow 5-2 joint-favourite Shadow Gate rounding the bend, only to give his rivals opportunity to challenge when turning wide.

The Martyn Meade-trained True To Form loomed up alongside Emerald Wilderness, while Be Perfect rallied gamely, but True To Form had his head down where it mattered and beat Emerald Wilderness by a neck.

The Irish-trained Japanese import Shadow Gate paid for his early exertions in the straight and faded tamely out of the frame.
