No worries at WetherbyHeadlines
Wetherby Racecourse

This afternoon's meeting at Wetherby goes ahead as scheduled.

Course officials scrapped plans for an 8.30am precautionary inspection following just two millimetres of rain within the last 24 hours.

The going is heavy, soft in places.

Thursday's meeting at the West Yorkshire track is subject to an 8.30am precautionary inspection on raceday.

Clerk of the course Jonjo Sanderson said: "The forecast is varying in terms of quantities of rain.

"The ground will also have opened up as we are racing on it today.

"Hopefully, if we have the minimum rain that has been forecast, there will be no problems."
