Fella camp lean towards TophamHeadlines
Big Fella Thanks

Tom George thinks the Topham Chase at Aintree could be the race for Big Fella Thanks after his easy victory at Wincanton on Saturday.

The 11-year-old was winning for the first time since March 2010 and even though he has run in three of the last four Grand Nationals with credit, finishing fourth to Don't Push It in 2010, George feels the marathon trip stretches his stamina.

"He's come out of the race A1 and it was good to see the old boy get back to winning ways. We have no firm plan. He'll have an entry in the Grand National, I'd have thought, but I think his best trip is about two and a half miles, like he showed on Saturday," said the Slad handler.

"At this stage I'd be more inclined to run him in the Topham instead because even when he ran in the Becher earlier this season he looked all over the winner at the Elbow but didn't get home.

"The way he jumps round there you'd have to think he'd take a lot of beating in the Topham but we'll have a sit down with the owners and discuss."
