Cross in line for Kempton comebackHeadlines
Peddlers Cross

Peddlers Cross will finally make his seasonal appearance in a race on Kempton's "jumpers' bumpers" card on Friday.

The Donald McCain-trained eight-year-old holds entries at Cheltenham and Doncaster this weekend, but will instead line up at the Sunbury circuit.

"He did have the option of starting off in the Cleeve Hurdle (Cheltenham) over three miles at the weekend but that would really have only come about if there was nothing else suitable," McCain told Betfair.

"With Doncaster's meeting on Saturday in the balance, Kempton looked the best place to go.

"He's had a long time off and has had a few niggles so we are hoping to give him a nice experience on his return to racing."
