Prince aiming for Argento reignHeadlines
Wayward Prince

Wayward Prince gets the chance to further showcase his rejuvenation when he lines up in the Argento Chase at Cheltenham this weekend.

The nine-year-old has thrived for owner-trainer Hilary Parrott since his switch from Ian Williams' yard last October, winning a Listed race at Aintree in December.

Wayward Prince now faces his sternest examination of the season against Bobs Worth, the ante-post favourite for the Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup, in the Grade Two over an extended three miles and a furlong.

"He's ready to go," said Gloucestershire-based Parrott.

"He's done really well since joining us. He takes quite a bit of work to get right, mainly because he eats so much, but we've kept him very much on his toes.

"I was absolutely delighted with him at Aintree.

"With Quito De La Roque, who was third, winning so well at Thurles last time, the form looks very strong."
