Light out for Gowran gloryHeadlines
Rubi Light

Rubi Light booked his place in the Red Mills Chase at Gowran Park on February 16 with a pleasing workout at the Curragh on Tuesday.

The Robbie Hennessy-trained eight-year-old will bid for a hat-trick in the Grade Two over two and a half miles after returning to somewhere near his best at Leopardstown over Christmas.

Rubi Light got to within two and a half lengths of Sizing Europe in the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase to fuel ambitions of another tilt at the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival in March.

"Rubi Light will run in the Red Mills at Gowran," said County Meath-based Hennessy.

"He's won it the last two years so we are keen to make it third-time lucky.

"He worked very well at the Curragh on Tuesday and it's all systems go for Gowran.

"After that we'll look at the Ryanair."
