Racing at Plumpton on Monday and Taunton on Tuesday has been abandoned as the tracks are waterlogged.
Heavy rain at Plumpton prompted an 8am inspection this morning, after which officials were left with little option. Taunton went the same way this morning
Plumpton clerk of the course Mark Cornford said: "We had 22 millimetres of rain overnight - we were told we could get eight or 12 millimetres. If we'd had four or five we could have given it another 24 hours and seen where we are, but 22 millimetres definitely wasn't on the horizon."
He added: "I don't feel there is enough time for enough of an improvement, it's totally unraceable at the moment. There's still a chance of a shower this evening, and tomorrow afternoon the rain comes back. There's water lying in lots of places that it wasn't yesterday."
Heavy rain after several inches of snow had thawed gave Taunton officials no alternative but to call off their fixture.
"We had about three to five inches of snow which melted on Friday and then we had an inch of rain on Friday night and a further inch of rain last night," said clerk of the course Michael Trickey.
"That was on already heavy ground and there was no way it was sustainable. There is more rain forecast on Monday and Tuesday, so I'm afraid we've had to come to the sad conclusion."
