Bergo aiming for World returnHeadlines
Bergo

Gary Moore faces a race against time to get Bergo to the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at Cheltenham in March.

The 10-year-old, who landed the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot in 2010, won three out of four races in his novice chase season, ending up with a fourth place in a Grade One at Aintree.

But he has not been seen since finishing fourth in the Doncaster Cup of 2011 and Moore will only run him if he is happy with his condition.

"We've not had him back in that long but if I can get him there, I'd like to run him in the World Hurdle," said the trainer.

"He's unexposed over hurdles, fences and on the Flat really. I wouldn't send him there just for the sake of it, so he'd have to be pleasing me to run."
