Less rain than forecast overnight means racing goes ahead as planned at Leicester today.
Clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson was able to cancel a 7.45am inspection ahead of the all-chase card.
He said: "I'm really pleased. I wasn't looking forward to this morning to be honest as the last forecast I saw for last night was for 25 millimetres of rain, but we only had five millimetres with wind."
He added: "It's heavy, but I'm quite happy with it. There's the chance of the odd shower, but mainly dry with the wind keeping going."
