Huntingdon given green lightHeadlines
Huntingdon Racecourse

This afternoon's meeting at Huntingdon has passed a 10am inspection and goes ahead as scheduled.

Course officials were forced to make an impromptu assessment after temperatures dropped since dawn. This caused some worn areas of the track to freeze, but conditions have now sufficiently improved for the fixture to be given the thumbs-up.

Clerk of the course Sulekha Varma said: "Temperatures are rising considerably. We're up to almost 4C now and things are progressing exactly as we hoped they would. One of the jockeys has been out to have a look round the track and he is happy with it, so thankfully we're good to go."
