Tea booked for Haydock trialHeadlines
Teaforthree

Teaforthree bids to boost his Aintree claims when he lines up in the Betfred Grand National Trial at Haydock on Saturday.

Trainer Rebecca Curtis reports the Welsh National runner-up on target for the weekend feature on Merseyside, ahead of a tilt at the John Smith's Grand National on April 6.

Teaforthree also holds two entries at Ascot on Saturday in the Betfair Ascot Chase and the Weatherbys Hamilton Insurance Limited Handicap Chase, but they are purely a precaution should Haydock fall to the weather.

"Haydock is the logical race to go for. I have him a couple of other entries in case Haydock was off, but the main aim is Haydock," said Curtis.

"He's on great form and is nice and fresh for the race. He'll run well, hopefully, and he ran a very good race in the Welsh National."

Malcolm Jefferson is looking for an improved performance from Mac Aeda, last seen finishing third in Haydock's Tommy Whittle Chase in December.

"The weights have gone up, he's now on 10st 1lb for the bottom weight, so all being well he goes," said Jefferson.

"He's run well this year, but he just hasn't clicked yet. He's in good nick anyhow so we'll give it a go."
