Huntingdon checkHeadlines
Huntingdon

Thursday's meeting at Huntingdon is subject to a precautionary inspection at 8am on raceday morning.

Clerk of the course Sulekha Varma reports the track to be raceable at present but is planning to check conditions in light of a cold overnight forecast.

She said: "There's no frost which is helpful as it means the soil temperatures have not dropped too much this morning. Overnight we are looking at a -2C air temperature, but there's a very cold wind coming in which could give a wind chill of -4C or -5C."

Varma added: "We will have a look in the morning and see what the situation is. We've put down frost covers on the take-offs, landings and the areas where we know the temperature drops lower."
