Alasi is set to face a fourth clash with Quevega in next month's OLBG Mares' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
Paul Webber's charge has been mixing it over both hurdles and fences again this term and the classy performer posted what was arguably a career-best over the bigger obstacles when beating Champion Court at Kempton last time.
However, the nine-year-old will revert to hurdles again at Cheltenham when she tries to foil Quevega's bid for a fifth successive win in the race registered as the David Nicholson. Alasi was a well-beaten eighth in 2010 but has finished fourth the last two years, cutting the distance to just four and a half lengths in 2012.
"I think she will probably have to (take on Quevega again)," Webber said.
"We have enormous respect for Quevega, but you can't be scared of just one horse.
"She's in the best form of her life, as she showed last time, but over fences she just seems to better going right handed, so we will go back over hurdles at Cheltenham.
"At Aintree last year, she just jumped a bit right and in these top-class events you want everything in your favour.
"We were thinking about a Coral Cup entry but she's not actually that well-handicapped over hurdles."
