Run remains on Ryanair trailHeadlines
Albertas Run and Tony McCoy (left) work at Kempton

Jonjo O'Neill is still hoping to get Albertas Run to Cheltenham in a bid to win the Ryanair Chase for the third time after putting the 12-year-old through his paces at Kempton.

The Trevor Hemmings-owned gelding, who has not run since last year's Aintree National meeting, worked just over a full circuit of the Sunbury track under Tony McCoy with stablemate Kandari.

Kandari appeared to move the better of the two, and McCoy said: "It's a bit different in a race, he comes to life a bit more, and he needs a few fences."

He added: "Even when he was seven or eight he was a lazy worker, but he's 12 now and looks after himself. We'll just have to see how he is, but he's not set the world alight."

O'Neill said: "He needs a bit of warm weather and he didn't do a lot, but that's him really. Hopefully the day out will bring him along, but we are running out of time a little bit with him.

"He wouldn't go if he's not right, but the plan is definitely to go if he is and at this stage Aintree (Grand National) is still the plan after Cheltenham. I could just see it bringing him to life."

Albertas Run won the Ryanair in 2010 and 2011 and finished second to Riverside Theatre last season, beaten just half a length.
