A costly error at the final fence by Realt Dubh let in Days Hotel to land the paddypower.com Chase at Naas.
Paul Carberry brought the Noel Meade-trained Realt Dubh with what looked a well-timed run to challenge the long-time leader in the Grade Two event, but he met the last obstacle all wrong.
That left Andrew Lynch on Days Hotel (5-4 favourite), trained by Henry de Bromhead, to come home clear by six lengths. Realt Dubh was still second, ahead of the disappointing Call The Police.
De Bromhead said: "His jumping won it for him and he had to do it the hard way. He set a good gallop and jumped well all the way.
"I'm delighted for the owner (James Treacy) as he's been great since he came back from injury. That's two Grade Twos he's won now and he keeps improving.
"The Normans Grove at Fairyhouse (April 2) is probably the obvious one now, especially if he gets some ease in the ground.
"The Kinloch Brae at Thurles was too far on heavy ground, but I wouldn't mind stepping him up in trip again on better ground."
