Sandown mooted as Well optionHeadlines
Well Refreshed

Well Refreshed could sign off the season in the bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown Park in April, if he runs again this term.

The nine-year-old completed a hat-trick in the Grand National Trial at Haydock earlier this month, supplementing previous victories at Lingfield and Plumpton.

Next month's Midlands National was mentioned as a possible target, but trainer Gary Moore is not keen to give his stayer another hard race and would not mind if he did not run again this season.

The West Sussex handler said: "It's a little bit up In the air and what we do will be very much ground dependant. He could possibly go to Sandown in April, if he runs again at all this season.

"We did think about the Midlands National, but he had a hard race at Haydock, Plumpton and Lingfield - there are only so many times you can go to the well.

"He is a soft-ground horse and we might run if the ground came up right. He's a nine-year-old, though, so there's always next year with him."
